Some Inside Facts of Top Athletes’ Garages

Check-Out-These-Pro-Athletes-Super-Garages

Superstar athletes make enough bank to get whatever they want, from the finest jewelry to million‑dollar supercars. Typically, one of the first purchases that athletes make after reaching the pros is a balling vehicle that they were probably unable to afford before they earned their first contract.

As endorsement deals and salaries accrue, many stars begin to develop a high‑end car collection. Those who happen to be car aficionados sink millions of dollars and thousands of hours into their supercars. In order to properly store these works of art, pro athletes house their investments in huge garages. However, some athletes park their cars outside and maintain a different type of collection in the garage.

The Garage of LeBron James

Few athletes possess the name‑brand recognition of LeBron James. This generation’s best baller commands attention around the world, leveraging his skills and popularity to increase his net worth to more than $300 million.

Within his sprawling $9.2 million compound in Akron, James keeps his collection of supercars in what is possibly one of the coolest garages in the United States. His most ridiculous vehicle is probably his 2013 Lambo Aventador Roadster, custom made for King James, including an exterior design collaboration between Rich Caliente and Nike.

LeBron also has a penchant for commanding SUVs. His first ride after finishing high school was a Hummer H2. He augmented his collection of fortress‑like vehicles with a customized, orange and black Jeep Wrangler Unlimited.

Of course, no super garage would be complete without a Maybach, in this case a 57S with a vanity place that reads “KNG OF OH.” His Mercedes S63 AMG and Camaro SS are decked out in white, including a set of bright white rims.

If you were guessing he also has a Ferrari, you would be right. LeBron’s Ferrari F430 Spider is yet another amazing custom machine that he stores in his garage.

The Kicks of Colin Kaepernick

When Colin Kaepernick inked an extension with the San Francisco 49ers, he set himself up to make up to $126 million over the next six years, not including the endorsement deals that he currently enjoys. He was rewarded with this huge contract after leading the 49ers in back‑to‑back marches to the NFC Championship.

While most athletes would celebrate by going to the nearest luxury dealership and purchasing a brand‑new McLaren, Colin appears to have a different hobby than most pro athletes.

Kaepernick recently posted a bunch of pictures of his super garage on his Instagram account, which features walls lined with Nike shoes. It appears he moved his cars out of his garage to properly store his true love — his massive collection of kicks.

While an exact number isn’t available, he likely possesses more than 500 pairs of Nikes. The first time he posted his collection was in 2012, and it’s clear that he’s worked hard to organize them all, considering that they all face the same way.

Of course, he probably didn’t arrange them himself. The smart money is that he hired someone to help him set up his ideal of the perfect garage.

Darts and Cars in Manny Pacquiao’s Garage

Manny Pacquiao was born into poverty, having to drop out of school to work at a young age. Of course, he managed to lift himself into superstardom by taking on any and all challengers and beating most of them mercilessly, with the exception of Floyd Mayweather — which was his biggest payday anyway.

While Manny does stay true to his roots by rocking relatively modest Mitsubishi and Lincoln SUVs, he does spend some of his hundreds of millions on supercars, in addition to donating to charity.

Perhaps his most beloved vehicle is a Ferrari 458 Italia, although his Mercedes‑Benz SL550, Porsche Cayenne Turbo S, and Mercedes SLK are nothing to sneeze at.

His garage hosts not only these fine vehicles, but also a dart competition among friends that takes place nearly every week. Oddly enough, Manny rewards the loser of this weekly session of garage darts with $100, no doubt attracting the worst dart players among his crew.

Making Your Garage Your Own

Most people don’t have millions of dollars to spend on the contents and the construction of a garage to protect those cherished collectibles. For the most part, people who aren’t professional athletes simply use their garage to store the family car or set up a space for their teenager’s rock band to practice their hits.

There are plenty of options when it comes to choosing a garage door that matches the aesthetic and practical requirements of your home. Garaga has a variety of customizable solutions that meet the needs of anyone’s garage, including professional athletes and regular homeowners.
